Mass protests are being planned in Zimbabwe by opposition parties following the expiry of a ban against demonstrations there.
The ban, which was upheld by the Constitutional Court, expired last week.
The opposition party MDC-T said it was mobilising masses for “the biggest demonstration Mugabe has ever seen”.
The People’s Democratic Party said plans of their comeback demonstration were at “an advanced stage”.
“The demonstrations will take place in the next few days,” said PDP spokesman Jacob Mafume.
The Zimbabwean government also announced yesterday that it would not be able to pay teachers’ salaries on time this month .
The country’s teachers will be paid in the first week of next month, the government said.
