K.O carries SA Flag Higher and HIGHER

Hip-hop star K.O has proved he’s here to stay. He has been selected as one of the five African artists to watch in 2015 by BBC Radio 1Xtra.

This is a digital radio station in the United Kingdom which specialises in urban music.

The other four African artists selected are Silvastone from Ghana, Nigerian stars Seyi Shay, Patoranking and Sauti Sol, a band from Kenya.

K.O and Cashtime Life had a good year last year.

His hit Caracara has been hailed as one of the biggest hip hop songs in the history of Mzansi.

The African artists list is compiled by DJ Edu, the BBC 1Xtra’s first and only anchor for the African mix show Destination Africa.

Some of the big African names that DJ Edu has managed to unearth include K’naan and Nneka, who also won the Music of Black Origin awards.

K.O’s debut album, Skhanda Republic is becoming a household name here in Mzansi and all over the African continent.
