Eight Adults and 3 Children have been killed in a collision between two cars on the N1 at the Mookgopong off ramp in Limpopo making the total death toll 11.
Traffic spokesperson Kagiso Mootane, says the children were aged between four and six.
Mootane says the cars were carrying six and five passengers respectively.
He maintains occupants of the vehicles died on the scene of the crash.
“We suspect speeding and negligent driving as the possible cause of the collision. The identities of the deceased have not been made known.”
Meanwhile, in a separate collision at Malamulele, five people, including two drivers, were also killed when their cars collided head-on.
Authorities say one of the drivers had overtaken in a safe place thus colliding with an on-coming car.
Authorities have expressed concern on the number of road crashes in the province.
